Chocolate-Pistachio Kiwi
Drizzle melted dark chocolate onto sliced kiwis and sprinkle with pistachio nuts for a fast (5 minutes) healthy dessert or snack that satisfies your sweet, salty cravings. Dark chocolate is an excellent source of disease-fighting antioxidants and essential minerals like iron. Kiwis are also rich in antioxidants, fiber, and vitamins C & K. They are known to support healthy digestion and immunity as well as heart health. Pistachios are also quite healthy as they are a source of prebiotic fiber that feeds the good bacteria in our guts. Ingredients
· 1 kiwi, sliced
· 2 teaspoons melted dark chocolate
· 1 ½ teaspoons chopped salted roasted pistachios
Cooking Instructions
1. Melt dark chocolate chips or break up a bar and place in a microwave safe bowl. Cook on high in 20 second intervals. Or place chocolate in small saucepan and melt over low heat for 3 minutes.
2. Drizzle kiwi with chocolate and sprinkle pistachios on top.
